There is something massively liberating about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.
How do you know if your perception of your value is actually valuable in the eyes of your clients/business partners?
For me, talking about the concept of “taking control of my life” is a healthy balance of personal accountability to steer my ship in the direction I want to go, with purpose, while also giving myself a lot of grace to be present in the here and now. You might consider what “taking control of your life” looks like to you?
I don’t care what business you’re in, what you do, what you’re selling, if you have the opportunity to talk to the #1 person in their field, you have to take note. If you have any desire to improve your business, you have to compare notes against someone who is succeeding at a higher level than you.
Role playing your client experience with a new business partner is different and something I’d suggest every one of us who wants to improve, does.
Good people are out there, and they want to help. I believe the good people question what stamp they’re going to leave on this planet, and I believe as they grow older, that stamp shifts from accomplishment to the desire to pay it forward.
Simple exercise for me, every thought that comes into my brain, push it into 2 categories, is this love or fear?
…and he simply said “I try to evaluate how this decision is going to impact me 3 or 5 years out. Also when you look at the best and worst case scenarios, usually the worst case scenarios aren’t as bad as you think”.
…I’m 100 yards out of the driveway, and I’m thinking “this thing is quiet”. Come to realize it’s quiet because it’s not running…
Our comfort zone sucks as it minimizes all of our potential, it keeps us stale and flat. If I had to think of a single word to describe our comfort zones, the word would be “boring”. Its boring to not grow, its boring to not challenge yourself and those around you.
